When in doubt. Vacation! A vacation to me is anywhere, hours away from home where there’s a hot tub, a view, definitely a beach and if I can getaway with walking around everywhere barefoot, that’s prime. Normally I’d pack according to the weather, but there are a few things that stay consistent in my luggage and that’s my skincare. I’ve tried numerous kinds of products. I’m talking LOTS. I’ve got sensitive skin and can easily break out with an eczema reaction. I’ve found that natural skincare products work best for me.
A company I always go back to is Viva Organics. Based out of Richmond, BC, Viva Organics is dedicated to using high quality natural products. I’ve been using their natural exfoliators, cleansers, masks, creams, oils and the Hyaluronic Acid Serum on and off for almost 4 years but the past 2 years I’ve been using it religiously. For those 2 years, I haven’t had one eczema break out! (YAY)
When I go on vacation, I always pack the Viva’s Aromatherapy Cleansing Gel and Bio Brightening Vitamin C Serum. In my carry-on or purse I’ll bring the Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum. It helps “wake me up” and moisturize my skin after a day of sitting in a plane or travelling.
Sunscreen is also something I use religiously. In the Summer or if I’m someplace sunny, I use Roche Posay SPF 60 as my day cream. In the Winter, I still use a bit of sunscreen but I’ll layer it on top of Viva’s Amaze Cream.
I challenge you to make the switch to using plant based, natural, organic skincare 🙂
- Your skin is your largest organ and whatever you put on it is absorbed into your body. You wouldn’t eat or drink chemicals, so why use products with unnatural ingredients?
- Natural products tend to use high quality ingredients so you don’t have to use as much product… it lasts longer and worth the money.
