Our Favourite Place To Stay In Kelowna

The Cove Lakeside Resort is our favourite place to stay in Kelowna. Why?

It’s pet-friendly!

When we go on quick weekend trips, it’s less hassle and more fun if we can bring our dog, Zoey! She’s apart of the family after all. We love having her around and she enjoys the change in scenery and being apart of all the action.

The Cove Lakeside Resort greeted Zoey with a bag of treats and let us know where the closest dog friendly beach was. Even though she’s not much of a water pup, it was still good to know that she was welcome to walk around the resort and she had her own special place to swim.

Suites That Feel Like Home

Travelling with kids has taught me a big thing… having the conveniences of home saves so much time and stress! The Cove Lakeside Resort provided us with a 2 bedroom suite premium lake view suite. We were able to get a highchair, a fully equipped kitchen, plus separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, dining room and spacious patio. Having a high chair and kitchen saves us from packing that “one extra thing” plus it’s nice to put the kids to bed early in a separate bedroom while the adults stay up. The lake view is stunning too. Wake up early to catch the sunrise, or watch the sunset from your patio. Spy on the boats leaving the marina or count the geese that land on the lake. It’s a relaxing view that reminds us that we’re on vacation.

Activities at the Resort so you don’t have to leave

The pool and waterslide at The Cove Lakeside Resort is a huge highlight for us. It’s in the perfect location, gets lots of sun and you have a beautiful view of Okanagan Lake. They also have firepits that you can pull up a chair and gather ’round as the sun sets. The kids loved roasting marshmallows! There’s also a putting green, tennis courts, a playground and a beautiful pathway along the lake that takes you around the resort.

It is waterfront and has the most beautiful view all year long.

The view of Okanagan Lake is so beautiful all year long. We’ve stayed at The Cove in the Summer and taken advantage of the kayak and paddle board rentals. We’ve also stayed in the Fall and watched the colours of the trees around the lake change from green to golden yellow and red. It’s stunning no matter what time of year.

Location! The Cove Lakeside Resort is so close to all the Wineries

On the second day at The Cove we stopped at Quails Gate Winery, less than 10 minutes away from the resort! It’s a must see and must taste! Our second stop was at Off The Grid Winery. Our kids love animals and this winery has goats, sheep, chickens, a turkey and bunnies! All the animals play a part in taking care of the farm and winery.
