The dry heat from our heaters mixed with the cold weather outside leaves my skin super dry in the winter. My lips get chapped and my face always feels a bit tighter. I love using a weekly Facemask (every Monday for #FacemaskMonday!) to help combat dry skin in the winter. Here are my favourites:

Lapcos Honey Nourishing Mask
The Lapcos Honey Nourishing mask is so luxurious and moisturizing. After washing this mask off, my skin feels soft, supple and so hydrated. The Body Shop’s Rose Mask
This mask smells so good. It smells like roses and has rose petal pieces in it. It’s a clear mask that you can leave on for 20 minutes and wash off. It is super hydrating and after washing off my face feels smooth and moisturized. Dr. Jart’s Brightening Mask
This is a fun one. This mask is a one time use kinda thing that goes on like a cream (use all the product it gives you!) Then you peel it off. After peeling it off, my skin is so clear looking, so soft and moisturized! It’s amazing. You can find this mask at Sephora for $16 CAD: https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/shake-shot-rubber-hydro-mask-P428654?icid2=products%20grid:p428654
Although I’ve gotten lucky and found them at Winners for $8 CAD.
Massage Product Into Your Face
After using a CLEAR mask like VIVA’s Collagen Hyaluronic Sheet Mask, Lapcos Honey or The Body Shop’s British Rose, I like to massage the product into my skin before washing it off. I used to just use my fingers but I was gifted a Hydrop Cleanser brush from Skinglo. It’s $94.50 USD, so a bit pricey but I have found that this vibrating brush really gets the product into my skin. It also cleanses my skin at the same time. So my pores appear smaller, skin looks brighter and more plump.
Massaging your face has many benefits too.
- Releases any tension in your face. By massaging your face in a circular, outward motion it prevents wrinkles!
- It increases blood circulation and oxygen into the skin which helps you produce more collagen. This helps give you that healthy and natural glow.
Although this was gifted to me, you can find similar tools here and here at my Amazon store.
