A Picnic Perfect Jumpsuit

Mikayla is 10 months old! She’s sleeping through the night. She’s crawling, almost walking, eating finger foods, not just pureed things and I’m only nursing at night before she goes to sleep. We’re getting longer stretches of sunshine, the weather is warmer and I can finally wear this striped jumpsuit I bought in San Diego earlier this year! Even though I’m not nursing during the day, off the shoulder tops or tube tops are PERFECT for nursing! It’s hard to find strapless nursing bras, so I use a bandeau and stick nursing pads in them.

This jumpsuit is my favourite. It’s light, comfy and pretty neutral. I can dress it up with heels or go casual as I did here, with slip ons and a top knot. A jean jacket can finish up the look or a fedora or a big, floppy sun hat would go well too. It’s my picnic perfect jumpsuit! Mikayla had her picnic perfect jumpsuit on too. Romper actually 🙂 And big sun hat from Twinkle Bell. I love that hat because it’s adjustable, so it grows with her, plus I can tighten it so she can’t rip it off.

Wesbrook Village at UBC was having a Kids Day so myself, Mikayla and my brother’s girlfriend, Neia went to spend the day there. We brought a blanket and had some lunch by the waterpark. There were so many little kids running around, I could tell Mikayla wanted to join them. But since she can’t walk on her own, she just used her stroller to stand and watched the other kids play and wrestle in the grass by us. She would point and say “ssssaaahh!” Who knew there were so many little kids in the area. Wesbrook Village has a bunch of parks with playgrounds, fountains, plus kid friendly restaurants and cafes.

After our picnic, we went on a tour of UBC Farm. I had no idea there was a farm on UBC. It’s just a 5 minute walk from the main square at Wesbrook Village. They had a little pop up farmers market going on, but we were told the big Farmers Market starts on Saturday, June 3rd. Click HERE for more info about the UBC Farmers Market.

Overall we had a fun day in the sun!
