The Perfect Prenatal Spa Day for Mom

You’re getting close to meeting your new little baby! But before doing that, treat yourself to some restful relaxation with the perfect, prenatal spa day. After all, your body has been busy making this little human and it’s exhausting work!

Tip: Hire a cleaner to deep clean your house while you’re out! 😉

Here are some ideas for the perfect prenatal spa day:

Book a Prenatal Massage

A prenatal massage has so many benefits. It can help ease the pain and soreness from pregnancy, it can help youo sleep and help with circulation. Find a place that has the cushions and pillows or that special table so you can get a massage as you lay on your stomach. It’s a game changer!

If you’re in the Vancouver area here’s a post that lists some amazing places to get a prenatal massage.

Get a Pedicure

I bet you’re having a hard time touching your toes, so let someone do it for you. Book some time at a comfy place with those nice massage chairs, put your feet up and relax mama!

Get a Hair Cut and Wash

It might be a few months after you have a baby before you’ll be able to find time to go to the salon, so might as well get a good cut, wash and head massage before the baby arrives!

Get a Facial

This is just a treat! Book some time to rehydrate and pamper your pregnancy skin so that glow continues postpartum!

Get a Lash Lift

There’s nothing like waking up in the morning with longer and already curled lashes… “I woke up like this”. Once that baby arrives you might find yourself adjusting your “getting ready” routine so you’re ready before they start crying again! If you’re in the Vancouver area I recommend visiting Dalaga Beauty Studios.

Block off time for an At Home DIY Spa Day

Treat yourself with a body scrub (here’s a deliciously easy DIY one) in the shower. Just massage it into your legs, arms and butt! This helps with circulation, reduces the appearance of cellulite and gives you bright, glowing skin. Take your time and do a hydrating facemask afterwards!

Here are my favourite facemasks to rehydrate and plump up dry skin.
