White Tee & Cropped Jeans

I wanted to go to this Loving Local Spring Market yesterday in White Rock which was only open from 10am to 2pm. But some days it’s hard to get out the door on time. Mikayla is teething again. I can tell she’s got one tooth that’s really bugging her because she favours that side when she chews on a teether. There’s a lot of drool, fussiness and restlessness. Which also means some sleepless nights. The night before I didn’t get much sleep, so when she got up at 7am and went right back to sleep after nursing, I had debate in my head… should I get up and get ready to get to the market early? OR should I go back to sleep for another hour. Honestly, I wanted more sleep and didn’t bother setting an alarm.

MK got up at 9am. Hmm, there go our plans to get to the market at 10am. So I got up with her, gave her breakfast, put her in her crib so I could get ready but no. She was crying, clingy and drooling. Lots of drool. I let her nurse again and she went back to sleep. DAMN! I thought to myself… if she gets up in an hour we can still make it to the market and be back for our Easter Lunch with my family. NOPE. She slept for a couple hours, in time for lunch. I could’ve woken her up, but oh well. It wasn’t that important for me to go to the market. There will be others.

I threw on my favourite white tee and a new pair of cropped jeans with the raw edges. Today was our first warm, sunny day we’ve had in weeks! So I happily wore cropped jeans and open toe shoes.

After our turkey lunch, Mikyala fell asleep again. I left her with my parents, and my brother, his girlfriend Neia and I set out on a stroll to Starbucks in Steveston. I managed to FINALLY get out the door at 3:45pm, but without the baby. Haha!
